Explore the neighborhood parks
A great way to explore the neighborhood parks is by taking your dog for a walk. Powell Butte Park is one of the most popular places in Avalon for dogs, and it’s also a great place to bring your pooch if you want them to run around after you or just hang out with other pets.
The park has plenty of amenities for both humans and canines alike: there are picnic tables and benches set up along its edges; there are water fountains located throughout the grounds; there are trees that provide shade from hot summer days; and best yet—there’s even an electric fence so that your four-legged friend doesn’t get away!

Get on some trails
When you’re out on the trails, you’ll want to make sure that your shoes are in good shape. You’ll want to check the tread on them and make sure there aren’t any holes or tears in them. Also, if it’s raining or snowy outside, then be sure to wear waterproof boots while hiking so that no water gets into your shoes or socks.
